1. Metatron: Meaning and Origins
1.1 Who is Archangel Metatron?
Before looking at the symbol itself, it is important to understand the meaning given to the figure associated with it: Metatron, also known as Enoch.
Archangel Metatron is considered one of the most powerful angels in Jewish Kabbalah. He is generally described as the "guardian of the divine law" and as having a deep knowledge of the Torah.
It is important to note that Archangel Metatron is not mentioned in the Hebrew Bible or the Talmud; he is primarily known through late Jewish esoteric literature.
According to some traditions, Metatron was a human named Enoch who joined God and was transformed into an angel. Other traditions claim he was created as an angel directly by God.
Enoch is considered a very important biblical figure in apocryphal Jewish literature, which attributes supernatural powers to him and describes him as a prophet. He is also described in some traditions as the "Seal of God" or the "Seal of the Universe," a being who possesses deep knowledge of all the secrets of the universe and is tasked with protecting them.
Metatron is considered the archangel closest to humans, so he is often invoked to obtain help and guidance. Prayer to Metatron is considered powerful and effective for achieving results in the areas of healing, protection, and personal growth. By working with Archangel Metatron, one can attain a high state of consciousness and a deep connection with the divine.
1.2 Metatron and Esoteric Traditions
In esoteric circles, Archangel Metatron is also seen as a guide of light, a bridge between the subtle planes and the material world. Some call him the "scribe of God," the one who transcribes divine laws into sacred languages. This representation is at the origin of the association between Metatron and the famous sacred geometry cube that bears his name.
2. Meaning of the Metatron's Cube
2.1 What is the Metatron's Cube?
The Metatron's Cube is a captivating geometric design made up of a multitude of symbols. Each symbol possesses a specific geometric shape and meaning, which makes this pattern an inspiring and intriguing figure.
2.2 Why is the Metatron's Cube a sacred symbol?
Sacred geometry is a discipline that studies universal geometric shapes and their symbolic meaning. It is often used in meditation and spiritual practices to enhance one's spiritual connection.
Sacred geometric structures are considered reflections of the structure of the universe and are seen as gateways to access higher levels of consciousness. All sacred geometries are composed of divine proportions based on the Golden Ratio, a number found everywhere in nature.
Furthermore, each sacred geometry possesses a high vibratory rate created by the wave form that the pattern generates. It is this wave form that is the origin of the benefits associated with this type of geometry.
The Metatron's Cube is considered a sacred symbol because of its close relationship with sacred geometry through the multitude of sacred geometric figures that constitute it. It is often said that this symbol is filled with sacred codes that hold information about universal laws and allow for the deciphering of the secrets of creation.
2.3 The Seal of Metatron: a symbolic name?
Some also speak of the Seal of Metatron to refer to this sacred geometric pattern. The term "seal" here refers to a symbol that protects, contains a precise energy, or grants access to a higher spiritual dimension. This designation further reinforces the idea that this cube is a form of universal sacred language.
3. What does the Metatron's Cube contain?
3.1 The Fruit of Life
The backbone of the Metatron's Cube is represented by the Fruit of Life, a symbol composed of 13 concentric circles connected by invisible lines. It is often considered a sacred symbol in spiritual and esoteric traditions and is included in the larger sacred figure called the Flower of Life. The Fruit of Life is considered to be the core of the Flower of Life and contains all the important geometric patterns of the latter. The Metatron's Cube and the Flower of Life are therefore two very closely related symbols.
3.2 The Merkaba
The Merkaba or Merkabah is an esoteric symbol linked to sacred geometry and meditation. It is often represented as a six-faced diamond-shaped structure. The Merkabah is considered a vehicle for attaining higher consciousness and for spiritual ascension.
3.3 The Platonic Solids
The five Platonic solids are the five universal geometric shapes: the tetrahedron, the hexahedron, the octahedron, the dodecahedron, and the icosahedron. These geometric shapes are considered sacred because they are seen as reflections of the structure of the universe. They can be found everywhere in nature and are the foundation of all geometries in our environment.

5.1 Energetic and intentional activation: meditation and Metatron prayer
A popular method is to invoke him through prayer and meditation. To meditate with the Metatron's Cube, sit comfortably in a quiet place. Place the symbol in front of you, physically (printed or engraved on a piece of jewelry) or visualize it mentally. Inhale deeply and let yourself be guided by the geometric lines of the pattern. Some choose to visualize it slowly spinning in their energy field, aligning it with the chakras or the aura.
In a ritual setting, you can place the Metatron's Cube in the center of a spiritual altar, surrounded by natural stones, candles, or essential oils. Before starting, clearly formulate your intention (healing, protection, mental clarity...). Light a candle, touch the symbol gently, then close your eyes. Let the vibrations of the Cube amplify your energy and your prayer.
For prayers, you can recite a simple invocation such as:
"Archangel Metatron, guide of light, I invite you into my presence. Protect my spirit, clarify my thoughts, and align my heart with the source."
You can also create your own prayer aloud or in your thoughts, as long as it is formulated with sincerity and respect. The more personal your relationship with the symbol is, the more its vibratory power will manifest in your daily life.
You must then emit a clear and direct intention for your request for guidance or support, orally or in writing. In this way, you can invoke Archangel Metatron to benefit from his power.
